Terms of use
1. The service
StrideRaid is a game: every week, players fight a boss together by running. Runs recorded in Apple Health deal damage to the boss. The app is published by Alex Chen.
2. Sign-up
- Reserved for people aged 16 or older.
- One account per person, linked to an email address you control.
- Usernames must not be offensive, misleading or impersonate someone; the team may refuse them.
3. Game rules
- Only runs actually performed, recorded by a watch, a running app or the phone, count. Manually entered sessions, vehicle trips, walking and runs before your account was created do not count.
- Check rules and their thresholds may change to keep the game fair.
- The boss's state (hit points) and damage are revealed every night; the boss's death, phases and mechanics are announced live.
4. Fair play
Cheating is forbidden (fabricated or altered runs, vehicle trips, a watch worn by someone else…), as are bypassing the checks, using several accounts to distort the game, and harassing other players.
In case of breach, the team may refuse the runs concerned (they no longer count), limit the account's visibility in the game, or delete it in case of serious repeat offences. You can dispute a rejected run from the app within 7 days.
5. Moderation and reports
- Run checks: automatic (speed rules, consistency, manual entry, source app…), completed by a human check of runs that are suspicious, reported, in each week's top 10, or disputed.
- Possible measures: run refused (it does not count), account limited in the game (its runs no longer count against the boss, it no longer appears in other players' leaderboards), account deletion for serious or repeated breaches.
- You are always informed of a measure concerning you, in the app, with its reason, whether it was an automated or a human decision, and how to dispute it: the "Dispute" button for a run (within 7 days), email contact@strideraid.app for any other measure.
- Report a cheating player: from their profile, if you have run against that boss yourself. Abusive reports may be ignored.
- Report illegal content (offensive username, impersonation…): by email to contact@strideraid.app, giving the username and the reason. You receive an acknowledgement, then the decision.
- Point of contact for authorities and users (EU Digital Services Act): contact@strideraid.app, in French or English.
6. Health and safety
StrideRaid is not a medical device and gives no medical or training advice. You alone are responsible for your effort and safety (see the health warning). Do not look at the app while running.
7. Rewards and purchases
Game rewards are cosmetic only (badges, titles) and have no monetary value.
8. Availability
The service is provided as is; it may be interrupted for maintenance or change. Bosses, rules and settings may be modified.
9. Ending use
You can delete your account at any time from Profile › Settings; deletion is immediate and final.

11. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, first write to contact@strideraid.app to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, you may bring the matter before the competent court of your place of residence. If you live in another European Union country, you keep the protection of that country's mandatory rules.
